New York State Senator Joseph E. Robach swore in Joseph I. Sortino, as the new Chairman of the Rochester Home Builders Association for 2012. Joe Sortino, president and founder of Sortino Properties in Rochester, took the reins of the RHBA from outgoing 2011 Chairman, Dan Viola.

Joe, who has been an active and passionate supporter of the RHBA for more than twenty-seven years, will now lead the association that has been improving the quality and professional of the local residential construction industry since 1934. The association helps with the members to stay abreast of the latest industry trends, new building technology, innovative financing plans, changes in state and local building codes and ordinances, and much more. RHBA members continue their education and training by attending numerous seminars, workshops and training programs offered by the association as well as the New York State and National Home Builders Association. Many of these professionals work their way up in the industry to gain a thorough understanding of all aspects of the construction process the same way that Joe has.
